So I just started a routine of working out 3 times a week. In the beginning I would feel sore the day after working out, but now I feel like I can lift the day following a workout. I do not feel sore at all. Does this mean I am not working out properly? Will I gain
muscle mass, or am I not pushing myself hard enough?
Thanks

don't judge the effectiveness of a training session or program by the amount of soreness. a training routine should be judged over a period of time depending on what the main focus is. base the success or failure of a training routine or program by increases in muscle mass, strength or endurance not by soreness.

that is a good sign (not being sore)...it just means your muscles have adapted to the workout program you have been use to...the muscles are probably stronger and ready to endure heavier training...to much soreness is not good because it means you overworked your muscles...if you give you self enough rest you will be fine...under a solid program lift every muscle 3-5 days depending on intensity (I actually found increasing the frequency and decreasing the intensity is the best way but everyone is different)....just be safe and gradually increase weight...good form...proper technique...and a balanced diet all essential

You need to increase your weights or cardio. you are simply becoming more fit which means that you must adjust your work out to your fitness level.

If you want to develop muscle mass, then each week add an extra 10-15lbs or a few more reps of your usual weight.

If you are doing cardio then if you normally run, say a mile 16 min, then try to increase your time, not your distance.

Your body has gotten used to the work out. If you want to feel sore again increase your weight or the resistance on the cardio machines.
