i think they would help with immunity because amino acids are proteins with petide bonds, so maybe proteins help your amino acids? my source has ALOT on proteins.

Protein is vital for the production of large numbers of white blood cells - the cells that fight infections. Additionally, antibodies (made by B-lymphocytes - a type of white blood cell) are made of protein.
