I was just wondering if having children takes away all the sorrow from having a parent, or both parents dieing.

It did not for me.I had a 3 month old and a 3 year old when my father died and I was devastated. So many times after he died I would pick up the phone to call him or think of something I wanted to talk to him about and the pain was as if it just happened.I look back and feel like I missed out on so many of the happy things of having a baby because I lost him.

Having children does bring happiness,
if you want them for themselves.
To try to cover up some other pain is not
a good reason to have a kid.

well they always having children brings joy, or you could adopt and have alittle boy running around the house with toys and candy everywhere LOL. i think that would be a good idea, to concentrate on a little one and watch him/her grow through school
