Okay so this guy, i land up buying him a car for our 1 month anniversary. I know i know it was a stupid card to play. Now there is nothing in writing that he owns the car. My name is on everything, the registration, the insurance and the title. Is it ***** of me to take the car back because he cannot prove to me that He can handle that type of financial responsability? The guy is a total wreck and he cant afford the payments for the insuarance and the registration. I know the car was a gift but c'mon the car is still on my credit and hes hurting me from purchasing another vehicle.

When you give something to someone you don't tell them It's yours, but I may take it back. You should have given more thought before putting yourself in this position.

You gave him a car, no strings attached. Yes, it's not fair to take it back, because, well, there were NO STRINGS ATTACHED!!!

He doesn't HAVE to pay anything, because it's all in your name!! Sheesh.

Realistically, you're going to take that car back, and try to sell it back to the dealer, and then pay the difference between what you owe on the car, and what it's worth, to get out of the loan.

Now, stop buying "gifts" on credit. THAT'S even more dumb than buying a car for a guy after knowing him A MONTH.

Beings the car is in your name you have every legal right to have the car brought back to you. You can call a wrecker service and have it towed back to you. All you have to do is show proof that the car is your. Once you get it, make sure you remove all his belongings and move the car somewhere where he can't find it. Sell the car or return it to the bank. Give him all his belonging back.

Another good idea is to give him a reasonable amount of time to surrender the car to you. Do it in writing through certified mail with return receipt. If he fails to surrender the car then have it towed back to you.

You can sell it back to the bank or keep it for yourself. Your choice.

i'm happy i finished college in the previous I enlisted. My mothers and dads have been the two interior the army whilst they have been 18 years previous and that they insisted I do college first. with the aid of fact such as you suggested, via the time you get out, you're married, life gets interior the way, and this is not cool sitting around in Freshman Comp with 18 12 months olds. To ability recruits, I consistently advise they take a 12 months or 2 of school instructions in the previous they enlist. they might take some extra instructions at the same time as they serve. That way, whilst they get out of the provider, they might pass the Freshman and Sophomore instructions. the different reason I say that's they won't ought to handle being Underage for many of their first term. Nothings sucks like getting in hardship interior the armed forces sucks - and underage ingesting IS a rechargeable offense interior the armed forces. i became into 21 via the time i became into in common and in no way had the priority. What i might say to YOU is attempt to circulate to a "commuter" college, or a minimal of a school with a extensive proportion of "non-classic" pupils. i'm taking graduate courses on the state college's branch right here interior the state capitol. that's a competent deal, with the aid of fact there are couple of adult males in my type nearer to fifty than 40, and handful of others of their Nineteen Thirties. i've got faith lots extra related with them than I do with the 18 to 23 12 months olds!

you own the car he dont an even though you let him have it as agift he still doesnt own it cause the title, reg, insurance are all under your name not his so therefor you can go get the car with a police officer an theres nothing he can do about it..there was no paperwork under his name so therefor you own it not him...go get it before he wrecks it keep in mind its your reg, insurance,so if he hits someone your paying for it not him...because its your liability with your name on all the paperwork...

What the hell! Take the car back, and sell it immediately. Your credit is much much more important than a loser.

People don't realize how important credit is. Fortunately, you are not one of them. So take it back.
