I wanted to plant some seeds for a science experiment in my classroom, but there are no seeds to be found in the stores... Can I use beans (lima, pinto, etc) to plant? I'm doing the experiment where you plant a seed in a ziplock bag, and observe the changes as the seeds tranforms into a plant....
Please help!

Yes you can use dried beans and corn, put several in the bag just to make sure some sprout. You can also try your local farmers/feed stores that stock seeds year round usually.

Grow an orange tree. I grew one and by the end of summer it was three feet tall!

as long as they're dried, not canned. (and use potting soil. NOT top soil)
