Hmm..I wish we knew a little more about the type of charity you want to be involved in.

There are tons of Catholic charities in the Denver area, here is there website: http://www.ccdenver.org/

You mean "know"?

Sites like VolunteerMatch (http://www.volunteermatch.org) list volunteering opportunities for cities all over the USA, including Denver. You could also try calling the United Way and seeing if they have a directory of nonprofits in your area.

As for a "good charity", what is your criteria for "good"?
