No, they are just vitamins.

Not for off the shelf vitamins.
The major difference between prenatal and regular vitamins is that they contain more iron and some higher levels of necessary vitamins and minerals needed for pregnant women and some vitamin deficient women even if they are not.
Vitamins, like medicine, should be used after talking to your doctor. Taking the wrong dosage can be as bad as not taking vitamins.
I don't know if they help hair grow or not for everyone, but some people have some changes.
Like diet and exercise-talk to your doctor.

im sure you dont have to be 18

but prenatals can be bad for you as they can provide an excess of vitamins (which can actually make hair fall out etc)

i suggest you buy some vitamins that ARE MENT FOR hair and nails growth... they sell them at walmart right next to the prenatals :)

Prenatal pills are really just a multivitamin. Also part of the reason your hair gets thicker when your pregnant has nothing to do with the vitamins, it just stops falling out while your pregnant.

prenatal pills do help your hair and nails grow fast...!! also if you just take regular multivitamin..even if you just take flinstones..i know it sounds childish but its true, plus they dont leave a bad taste in your mouth like the prenatal pills

and you can be any age to buy either of the two

NO YOU DONT NEED AN ADULT THEY ARE JUST VITAMINS, ON THE OTHER HAND YOU SHOULD JUST GET A REGULAR MULTIVITAMIN, NOT PRENATAL ONES, THEY ARE SIMILAIR, BUT DIFFERENT. IF ITS ABOUT YOUR HAIR GO GET FISH OIL VITAMIN PILLS, THEY WILL MAKE YOU HAIR GROW FAST AND MAKE IT SHINE BEAUTIFULLY. HOPE I COULD HELP.

No, they are over the counter. I have also heard that the hair growth and nail growth thing is a myth!!

You can get a bottle for under 15$, remember you get what you pay for!

No, they are vitamins. You should be able to buy them at any ol' drugstore, no questions asked. I bought them all the time when I was pregnant with my son and they never carded me and I look extremely young for my age.

idk. But i do know that those pills make you grow hair everywhere else! on youur arms, legs, armpits, down there. ewwwwwwww. Don't do it! But if you must i don't think it's required. If your like, 13 er younger they may not but if your an older teen prolly. I mean, don't you hear of teens buying condoms and stuff like that? I'm pretty sure you could!

Good luck and hope I helped! =)
