Don't be fake. Try to impress him at the start and try to make things like humour and kindness stand out. But most importantly be truthfull and if it goes anywhere just be yourself. I guess it's the quality of staying in love and not dicking around. I've just been burnt by this chick that convinced me to love her and now she's decided to move on. Oh the irony.
