Because this project is to be your ideas, I won't provide you with ideas. HERE IS A WAY TO GET YOUR CREATIVITY STARTED.

Divide a sheet of paper into 2 columns. Title each column with 1 of your assigned words. Now, make a list of things around you that fit the definitions of the assigned words. Then on a 2nd sheet of paper make a list of 10-12 questions to ask yourself about the objects, for example; how it fits into your life; what thoughts it brings to mind; how it relates to the object it is adjacent to; how a person who had never seen this type of object would react; how you imagine a spider interprets the object; what characteristics you'd use to identify the object if you encountered it in total darkness. Then take the information and use "light" to bring the interpretation to life. Below are reminders of the meaning of the two words given for the assignment.

in·ert (adjective)
1. Unable to move or act.
2. Sluggish in action or motion; lethargic.
3. Chemistry Not readily reactive with other elements; forming few or no chemical compounds.
4. Having no pharmacological or therapeutic action.

en·dur·ing (adjective)
1. Lasting; continuing; durable: a novel of enduring interest.
2. Long-suffering; patient.

Do you know why you were given this assignment? Was it for YOUR creativity and YOUR definitions or for strangers on the net? Your teacher is trying to help you expand your thoughts. Getting answers here would just defeat that.

Paint some landscapes with Aurora Borealis (northern lights) in the background.
