What would happen if you lost the title to the car that you own? Where would you go to get another one?

Im wanting to sell my car and I cant believe it but I cannot find the title ANYWHERE :(

Im kinda worried.

Also about how much does it cost to get tags, license plates, and a new drivers license?

You should just be able to go to your tag office and they will search the VIN # to your car and since your the last owner of it and you have ID with you they SHOULD be able to just give you a re-print of it.Prices will vary on the other stuff depending on what kind of car and what state your in.

Go to the DMV in your state and file for a duplicate title.

You go to the DMV and ask them to issue a duplicate title. They'll mail it to you, as long as you are the titled owner.
