If religion is taken away from the world, would there be less killings or would killers find another excuse to act out on their human nature? Would people find something else to fight about?

Are humans really that primitive, aggressive? Can't we all just get along and be civilized? Or are our primordial primitive urges too strong to domesticate?

The Atheistic Communist Party took religion away from the Soviet Union and was responsible for the death of 61,911,000 victims of genocide and mass murder in just 70 years from 1917 to 1987: http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/NOTE4.HTM

You be the judge.

Most Christians believe that the influence of Original Sin gives humans a fallen nature and only the grace of God can overcome that nature.

I think we would be just as violent without religion as we would be with it. At the moment we have the habit of blaming conflicts on religion (such as the Middle East) when in fact its caused by a large number of influences: culture, history, lack of resources, tribal alliances, etc.

The Real Question is:
Is Your religion good enough to break human nature?
To break these primitve urges some LOVE to label as "Sin"?

Does your religion cloth, feed, & bath someone?
No.

It's as much Human Nature to help someone as it is to hurt someone.
