I believe that in most cases most of us from a very young age know what is right and what is wrong. That is not to say everyone knows the difference. I know that if I feel uncomfortable with what I am doing, I try not to do that thing again but is it a sin? Not sure. I have been told over and over by very religious, christian people that just seek forgiveness and your sins will be washed away but I some how have a problem with that. If it makes you feel bad, don't do it. Is everything that you do that makes you feel bad a sin, probably not. I have a feeling that there is no one that can go through a day with out sinning and most don't consider it a sin. Who knows!!!!!!!!

A sin is always wrong because it is an act that offends God and transgresses His law, BUT our knowledge (or lack thereof) may lessen our culpability making a mortal sin a venial sin.
For a sin to be mortal and worthy of eternal punishment three conditions must be met:
1. The sin is a serious matter (i.e. a deadly or grievous sin)
2. The person committing it has full knowledge of its seriousness
3. The person gives full consent of their will to the sin

The Bible tells us that God has written His laws on our heart, He didn't tell allah something different that He did Jesus IF allah is god also.
God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Jesus never taught His followers to KILL His enemies, He told us He ONLY DOES WHAT HE SEES HIS FATHER (GOD) DO AND SAYS WHAT HE HEARS HIS FATHER (GOD) SAY. Now, God is ONE and it is a SIN to murder those who do not believe as you do. You pray for them. It is NOT murder to protect yourself or your family from bodily harm, it is called self-defense or "war". God sanctions protection..., "there is no greater love than for a man to lay down your life for his friends", which Jesus did. The 9/11 hijackers were and all like them ARE terrorists and it IS a sin. Sin in the name of religion is still SIN.

Yes, you will be judged by your works according to your teacher, but you must believe in God the Father, for you were born in the image of God the Father, and His true commandments were written in your heart, not on stone.
Therefore hearing, or seeing "The Word of God" your spirit will recognize the Words, if you are born of God. and in your heart you will know right from wrong.

WTF!!!
Even our LEGAL system recognizes that IGNORANCE of the law is NO EXCUSE!!! So WHY then would you even THINK that ignorance of a SIN is an excuse????
WHEN will someone ask a LOGICAL question to challenge our faith? I am continually amazed that anti-religion people keep posing what THEY think are LOCK-TIGHT questions... irrefutable questions... that will be "A-HAH" questions... that will finally put these STUPID religious people to shame... but darned if they never DO! They keep coming up with inane questions like THIS one! You THINK you're challenging us, but you continually fail miserably. WHY do you think that IS? Oh... nevermind....
I'm sorry... I apologize... I'm a Christian...therefore I'm not supposed to be THOUGHTFUL about my faith!
Have a blessed day.

That is a bad example because hijackers certainly "knew" that killing is a sin.
They might have gotten confused because of religious fanaticism but killing several thousand innocent people is just as wrong in Islam as it is in any other religion.

I think a wrong becomes even more wrong when you do it on purpose, so following the same judgement, a wrong is less wrong when you don't know it's wrong;. But regardless it's stil wrong. If you break a law without knowing that you are braking a law, you stil pay the consequences

Sin is like the law, just because you don't know of it, it is punishable. I believe God does not punish you for things you are not aware of.
