Basically we can't change the color scheme of all Microsoft Office 2003 product (toolbar, menu color, etc...) without changing the entire computers. Though the options is limited, still can make some adjustment so our Office looks different from others, eq:
1. Microsoft Office Excel 2003.
On the Tools menu | Options > Color tab. Click the color that you want to change, and then click Modify.
= to replace the selected color on the palette with a different standard color, click the Standard tab, and then click the color that you want.
=to change the hue or another aspect of the selected color, click the Custom tab, and then change the options.
Click OK. Repeat steps 3 through 5 as needed, click OK.
= to change Tab color > Options menu | Sheet > Tab Color

2. for Microsoft Word 2003, Tired of working on documents with black text on a white background? we can easily change the color of your working document to whatever color you choose. elect Format menu | Background > choose for desired background color, or choose "More Colors" to choose a different color (Note that, by default, background colors will not be printed. It's display only).

Good luck.

I actually do not know if there is any way to do that without using an external program.

WindowBlinds is a (but still takes up resources, so I don't use it...plus I'm on a mac right now) software that not only gives you powerful skinning (like being able to have transparencies from Vista on Windows XP), but it lets you skin individual applications.

maybe there's a program for it and eats a lot of disk space and will make your computer slow, i prefer the original one.
