That's a good question. I'm not sure there is an answer to that one. But part of me wants to say yes, because when you're in love with your "soul mate" or with your God, there seems to be a different type of connection, if you will, to them. Could it be the nerve endings coming alive?

I don't know. I don't have a soul but I do have nerve endings in my body.
And an unlucky coworker just found out what a mass of nerve endings are contained on the sole of her foot, right where the toes begin. Tsk tsk! Never go canoeing without shoes!

Apparently enough nerve endings to be tortured or experience physical pleasures in Hell and Heaven respectively. Oh those wonderful souls that just happen to be identical to bodies for no apparent reason....you gotta love um...

the answer is no
from what I understand about spirit ... there is no pain in the physical sense
they can be emotionally hurt ... although it is rare as they understand things better than us
that is why we are living a physical life , so we can understand physical things that we cant experience in the next life
