If god already knows everything that is ever going to happen, wouldn’t that suggest that he foreknows his change of mind, thus making the ‘change of mind’ meaningless?

this question, with all respect, is patently ridiculous. How can you compare God's mind with ours? It's like saying "would God mind if I don't eat breakfast?"

I imagine God has a good idea of what may happen, But I don't think it is written in stone which direction you or I can go. If that were the case then their would be no sin , no jesus, no need. because everything would be preset. Do you think God wanted LSU to drop one friday? Do you think God want hitler to murder 6 million jews? ok do you think God cares enough about you to at least let you do your own thing? If I plant some corn in a field. I can predict some corn will come up ,not some cucumbers. Does that make me know everything before its gonna happen. I know for sure if I plant corn, corn will come up if all goes well. If everything is random how come everything keeps renewing itself?Last time I looked monkeys was still making monkeys and no humans have poped out of one yet. If monkeys are my ancester why do they still have monkeys? Throwback?

That is a good question and made me think? If God doesn't change his mind or his purpose?
Then in the beginning he put Adam and Eve on a really fixed up planet. He told them to multiply and fill the earth.
Okay they messed up. But would you let that ruin your plans?
I mean if you were God?
Wouldn't you let them have other children and they were okay and did the right thing, they got to live there. But the ones who were like Adam and Eve and didn't appreciate this nice planet. Then they could just do what he told Adam.
"From dust you were made and to dust you will return."
As far as people are concerned he doesn't know what they are going to do if you give them free will.
He choice Saul to rule and he turned out wicked.
He choose Solomon and in the end he was wicked.
so it is up to us to either do the right thing or not.

A prayer can change God's mind, but we have to take the initiative to offer it up. King Hezekiah was terribly sick and asked a prophet if it was God's will for him to survive it or to die. The prophet told him he was dying. King Hezekiah humbled himself before God in prayer. The result was that God sent the prophet back, to tell him he had been given another 15 years of life. So God can and does change His mind sometimes, but we play a role in that.

This is one of those fun questions where things aren't always as it seems. No, God doesn't really change His mind. BUT He did indeed 'repent' of making man in the first place. Consider it an emotional reaction to the current situation.

God can change His mind when people change their ways.
He once sent Jonah to warn Nineveh that in 40 days time the judgment of God would fall on them.
The entire city repented and turned to God in prayer and fasting, and God relented and spared them.

As there is certain amount of free will, yes, we can change and make God change his mind, about us or events.

There are many scientifically proved miracles in Betania, Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe and other places, I imagine that this miracles is that, God changing his mind.

man is always looking for that way to exclude the existence of God.
that has, and will not happen. why you may ask?
cause God created every human being in His image and His likeness. when God breathe the breath of life into Adam, then and only then did Adam become a living soul.
man kind wants something that they can handle with their hands, and see with their natural eye to be their god.
the only thing God can't do is lie.
"heaven and earth will pass away, but my word Shall stand forever".......that's a long time.....
meaning of faith is......
"substances hoped for, evidence of things not seen."
"without faith it is impossible to please God"
"for it's not Gods will for any to parish, but all have ever lasting life".
Jesus said this.......
"you [we] must be born again, for whosoever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whosoever is born of the Spirit is Spirit, marvel not, you must be born again".
regardless what anyone may say or do, to be or have righteousness, it MUST come by faith through Jesus Christ our Lord.
"for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God"
children has the characteristics of their earthly fathers.
Christians has the characteristics of God, or they are no Christians
invite Jesus in your heart today, and experience the difference in life

Yes, he can.

God has the power to know all things if he so chooses. However, God does not always choose to know the future. He does not know every intimate detail of everything that will ever happen... though he COULD if He chose to!
