Some translators for the United Nations are sitting around on their coffee break, arguing over who has the most beautiful language.

"Butterfly," says the British translator, "butterfly. So light, and delicate. When you hear the word, you can just see it fluttering by."

"In French," says the French translator, "we call it a papillon. Papillon. It comes to the tongue as quickly and gently as the papillon comes to a flower."

"In Spanish," says the Spaniard, "the word is Mariposa. Mariposa. Can't you see the brilliant colors of the wings? What other language could do better?"

The German translator throws up his hands. "Und vat iss wrong mit Schmetterling?"
