it would help to permanently screw up your endocrine system for life. a severe caloric restriction during puberty is the absolute worst thing a woman can do to her body. it does it and will cause health problems for the lifespan.

Anorexia is a physical AND mental disorder... it's not caused by simply not eating. Also, you may start out just wanting to lose 40 lbs, but by starving yourself, you won't lose anything. I am a semi-recovered anorexic, and I can honestly tell you, it's not fun. When I was at my worst, I had no friends, was freezing cold all the time, was tired, and overall felt horrible physically. It spirals out of control and you end up in a miserable place. Eat well, watch your calorie intake (probably 1500-1700 depending on how active you are), and exercise. Don't worry about it too much. Alot of people lose weight naturally as they get a little older.

Anorexia is a terrible illness that can leave permanent damaging affects. I am have lost about 60 pounds over the past 2 years 185 --> 125 and I am only 16. I suggest weight training, exercise, and just an overall healthy diet plan. I ate alot of fruits, veggies, and protein. Now I am so used to it that I don't crave cakes, cookies, or alot of fattening things. Also, cut out fast food. By being anorexic it would most likely cause you to lose your periods (extremely unhealthy) and damage you mentally and internally. So please just try a good diet and weight training.

No developing a mental illness isnt going to help you with anything.
What with the word DIET. You dont need to diet. Jsut use some common sense. If you look on the back of packets, it tells you the calories in it. Obviously crips and cakes/ butter/ cream is fattening. If you look at what you eat and say, im gonna cut this out, and limit this etc... its the best way.
And execersie. Dont jsut ignore people when they say it and think its not for me. Its not a big deal, stick your head phones on sit on an exercise bike or something.

Be careful what you wish for. At your age I wanted the same thing and I wasn't even fat to begin with. Your at an impressionable age and beauty magazines are to blame for making you feel insecure. Let it go, don't buy into it. Your just a young girl with your life ahead of you. I bought into it and destroyed years of my life with Bulimia and anorexia. Then when I started eating normally I put on a whopping 25 kilograms because my body couldn't deal with the caleries. I am now 33 and am looking the best I have ever looked and I don't watch what I eat at all. I really never had to. What a waste of time! As long as you are not going crazy eating 20 times a day.. your fine. Believe me, we (as humans) are actually meant to eat. Dieting is miserable way to live, forget about it.

dont become Anorexic. its bad for your body and it can become a habit. the best that you can do for yourself is that you can slowly get your body used to exercising, and if you eat large quantities of sugary foods, you should balance it out with healthy foods. my mom is on a serious diet also right now, but before now, she would sneak snacks and have treats in the middle of the night. not only until her doctor said that if she goes on this way that in a year she could suffer from a severe heart attack, she finally got into her head that she didn't want to end up like that. and you might not be over weight all your life.
sometimes when you hit puberty, your body stores up extra fat. this also happens when you dont eat break fast. your body gets so accustomed to not eating from dinner to lunch so that it learns to store fat from dinner so it can make up for the missing meal thats supposed to be at breakfast time. another reason you could be over weight is that your under alot of stress. i suggest that if you only eat around half of the unhealthy foods, and you throw in a random walk here and there, you will be fit and in shape soon. good luck and i hope i helped.

no. losing that much weight so quickly will leave you with saggy skin. thats worse than being fat. u need to lose the weight with exercise and have a good diet to help lose the weight and tighten the skin. yes tighten the skin. deits arent only for dropping pounds. anorexia will damage and corode the esophogus and teeth and will only burn away fat. in short, it'll *uck up ur teeth, throat, and leave you skinny and saggy.
Just diet and exercise. it'll take longer but look better. if you loose the weigth and still have a little left over skin, just have it surgically removed, although it does come with risks.
