Any pagan religion instills a sense of caution/fear in me. First, they have a great capacity to harm others with their false doctrine and possibly violent behavior. Second, they face their own peril of existence without God if they do not repent and follow Jesus.

Well, not on purpose. But "religions" that all lead back to Satan are scary to anyone who isn't into that junk. I think that when true christians tell you about what'll happen to you if you don't get saved, it sure can be a little scary. But they don't purposely go around scaring people. Christians can be so misunderstood sometimes.
I also agree with the girl above who talked about the preaching that aren't positive.

I'm a little leary of JWs, but that has more to do with irritation at the fact they bother me on Saturday morning and then won't go away after I make it clear I'm not interested in joining a cult.
Otherwise, I dunno... Anything that demands human sacrifice raises a big red flag with me...

It would be a fanatic, militant atheist whom I fear would come and burn my house down, kill my cats, find out who my friends are, murder them, etc....just because I am a Christian.
There are only one or two, but they are there.
There are fanatics in all groups.

Fanatics of any religion make me nervous. Anybody who thinks they know the one Truth and it is their sacred duty to make sure everyone agrees with them at any cost is a danger.
