If you look at a biblical map you will find part of Syria was Israel.
British journal New Nation:
The journal commented jokingly that he must have been black because "he called everybody 'brother', liked Gospel, and couldn't get a fair trial".
Jesus was actually an Israelite not a Jew, not a Jew by the fact that being Jewish is identifying your faith not race. Jesus was not a follower of a faith. He became the icon of a new one.

You asked a good question. According to the New Testament, Matthew chapter 1 (first book in the New Testament [NT, to save space]) and Luke chapter 3 (3rd book in the NT), He was directly descended from Abraham and David, both men of admiration among many people. He was born in Bethlehem, not too far from Jerusalem, to a virgin mother named Mary. She was engaged to be married to Joseph, a carpenter from Galilee (northern Israel, not too far from Syria) when Jesus was born.
So Jesus was born into a Jewish family, observing all of the duties of the Jewish religion of that day. There has been a number of postings, questions, and so forth in this forum that have debated what He looked like, sounded like, and so on but nobody today really knows any of this.
One last thing about your next-to-last sentence, according to Luke chapter 2, He was born when Cyrenius or Qurinius--different spellings of the name--was governor of Syria! The nations of Israel and Syria have had, shall we say, many dealings over the years .

Most likely, if you were to see Jesus, you'd think he was middle eastern, not from Scandinavia, like he is depicted. He was obviously Jewish, but he could've been part of any ethnicity from the middle east from around that time. Maybe even Greek or Roman, the Levant was a meeting place for many cultures at that time.

Knowing how close-knitted the Hebrew (Jew) society have been since the beginning of times, there's not doubt that Jesus was 100% Jewish, from a Jewish mother and a Jewish father, he was raised as a Jew, worshipping as a Jew, according to the Jewish laws, traditions, and religion.

Jesus was Jewish. Even successive Popes have stated this in order to remind Christians of the truth. It's established fact.
As for race: he was a member of the human race. There is no other.
