I for one don't

Love exists regardless of theology, or lack of theology. Why do so many think the two are intertwined?

Ask Atheists, Buddhists and lots of Christians what the most important thing is -- they'll tell you love. It cuts through the rhetoric on all sides and simplifies what's most important.

Absolutely not. Love requires nothing except for respect and care for another human being.

I personally believe the two of them are intertwined. That is why when you are married the Pastor says What God has Joined together let NO MAN put Asunder.

If it were not for God we would not be here to Theologically theorize the difference.

That is my opinion. I personally believe you need the Lord to continue to Bless your relationship to stay in Love. Because let's face it we have all woken up and looked at our Partner at least once and said I do not know why I married this person all they do is complain ***** Moan Cheat etc... But then the Lord hears you and reminds you of the Vow you professed to him and he then makes you realize why you are with this person. Love 1st Corinthians Chapter 13 says Faith Hope and Love the Greatest of these is Love. We have taken Religion out of Government and the Classroom and made it to where nobody wants to even discuss it anymore and now we want to take it out of Love too. If it were not for God we would not have Love.

It's not required, but if I want to get deep into it and find the purest source of the love I'm trying to show or looking for, I'm going to think about God, because that's where love comes from.

If a person is really thirsty and is looking for water to drink, they'll drink any water they can find... even if it may be polluted. But if that person can go to the purest source, like a mountain spring... they prefer to go there instead.

No love does not require religion..in fact I would think that religion can be a critical factor in some people excluding/with holding love from other people. For instance I have seen people here say things like "I can't be friends with my gay neighbor/classmate anymore...my pastor said it isn't appropriate." Or "I don't like anyone who says Allah isn't the way." Yeah...religion can get in the way.

I agree with you. Love does not require Religion. God is the underlying reality of all our emotions including the most powerful, Love. And God is so giving and Loving that Love can be enjoyed by anyone regardelss of religious ideologies.

You require Religion to learn the real meanings of love because often young people are mistaken thinkig physically attraction as LOVE.

That depends on the two people. If one is very religious and the other not, maybe problems. If one is spiritual and the othe not, it still depends on how much each of you will want to compromise.
If there are more great qualities, than not, your relationship should work if you BOTH want it to.

well I guess it depends on the type of love. All (except sociopaths) are capable of Love. We were designed in the image of God..... even the people who don't believe in Him... and since God is love, then we all should be able to love each other.

There is also the type of love that requires you to care about those who are mean to you. THAT type of love, I believe takes God to manage it. The other types of love (platonic,romantic...etc...) we are all capable of and it doesn't matter what religion or belief system you have.
