7:13-14... ok, totally missed the point, it does not say that at all, it is talking about haw God have given us a chance at eternal life for all who are willing to take it, but it will not be easy
10:34-36... talking about the times they were in when christians were pursecuted by believing in what jesus was teaching
11:20-24... the cities that he was preaching to were deep in sin and he tried to get them to repent by showing them miracles and even when they saw the power of God they did not repent, that is why they were condemned
12:34... he is talking to the pharisees who were supposed to be upholders of the biblical law and in their pride became corrupt, he called them vipers as a metephor because snakes were sybol of evil
13:41-43... The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.... get the verse right first then comment on what it says i dont even know how you pulled that out of this verse
23:31... once again speaking to the pharisees who were full of pride and thought they were free of any sin, he is referring to when they said that they would not have sinned against the prophets as their forefathers did
23:31... again a metephor speaking of how evil they were
23:35...metephor of their evil again
25:41... another metephor of how evil people will go to hell

and for the person who said the bible was hardly credible it was written only 25-60 years after Jesus' death so the accounts are very credible considering that people lived to very old age in that time period not to mention there is historical proof that concurs with the bible so it is very credible

Gotta set the record straight for Green_Eyed_Girl:

The NT was MOSTLY written by people who knew Jesus -- Matthew, John, Peter, especially. Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus.

2 of the 4 Gospels are eye-witness accounts. Luke interviewed eye witnesses, and Mark was also very well acquainted with people who knew Jesus personally.

The entire NT was written within one generation of Jesus death, and is highly credible. Very few ancient texts can make a similar claim.

The fact is, if you're quoting from an accurate translation of the Bible, then Jesus did say those things.

I AM SURPRISED

reading all the above what Jesus said or did.

Then why Christians always associate nothing but LOVE with Jesus Christ. They always sound like Jesus never spoke any thing negative, hell and punishment for the sinners.

Now I shall always be suspicious of hypocrisy when they will praise Jesus with Love and all good stuff.

Alright, If I may, let's please take a look at some of these

a) Jesus was speaking of a broad road that led to destruction. There is no reference to hell in the scripture you mention( nor anywhere else in scripture when really examined but that's for another discussion.) Only one of 12 translations I looked at using a comparison website uses the word hell.

b) Jesus was not saying he would destroy families. He was prophecying that belief in him would tear some families apart... believers against non-believers

c) Jesus "often" called people names" "One of his favorites was to call his adversaries "a generation of vipers." He used the phrase once and he used it toward a small group of religious leaders who lived up to that very name. How did it become a "favorite"?

He also said in the "last days will come scoffers and mocker, lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God." And here you are!
Why do you leave out all the promises He makes to those who believe in Him???? Nothing like twisting scripture, and leaving out the best part. Maybe He was trying to WARN YOU, SO THAT YOU SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!
He said, "I have not come into the world to condemn it, but to SAVE it." and "Whosoever believes in Me shall have eternal life." and "In My Father's house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go to prepare a place for you, I shall return and take you with Me where I am."
What about all these things He said???

You are doing what satan does. Takes God's very words and TRIES to use them against Him. You don't deceive me, and you don't deceive anyone who is a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. You, my friend DO NOT KNOW HIM, You only use His words OUT OF CONTEXT.!!!! I pray you see the truth.

Yes. God is a God of wrath too.

But don't forget that He loves you and prefers mercy and love over wrath!

8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (II Peter 3:3-10, NIV)

Do you truely understand what you are saying;
In these passages of scripture you have quoted, Jesus was
teaching that there are Two Ways men can follow;
1. the strait and narrow way which leads to eternal life in Christ Jesus; 2. for wide is the gate and broad is the way that
leads to eternal separation from God.

Jesus isnt nasy, taking a few verses out of context is not going to make him so. Try reading all of his sayings like , the meek shall inherit the earth, and my father in heaven always hears the little children. Then theres love thy neighbor as theyself. Love all....ya he is nasty right.

Really!
Why did he heal that leper ?
Was he trying to make him feel inferior?
Or feeding those five thousand with a 5 loaves of bread and a fish? Did He think they were beggars in need of His assistance?
Or why did he raise that poor widow's son back to life? Do you know she probably was sued for insurance fraud?
Or worse yet, when he raised that twelve year old girl back from the dead - I suppose He didn't realize what a freak she would become to her friends !
And why did He promise us eternal life if we believe in Him? Who wants an unending life free of pain, sickness, death, evil and sin?
(I'll bet you kind of like sin?)
