If God is all powerful and yet evil exists, does that mean God is evil? What RATIONAL argument does Christian theology have for this?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Epicurus)

Yes? OH, you're talking about that one. Not much about the belief makes sense to be, but that's their business. *shrugs*
If this god were all powerful, and evil exists, then the power of evil must come from the all powerful god. Either that, or evil has no power, and is being used as a cop out, take your pick. Rational argument? Good luck.

For just a second there, I thought that I'd been complimented. lol

They say that this is because people must have free will.
But god did not used his free will and powers very wisely.
He could have sent 200 Jesus to all corners of the earth speaking all languages the same day and thus avoid massive religious strife and wars.

God is all powerful. He can do anything He wants. One of the things He did was give man a free will. And in the heart of man all the evil that was ever fomented on the earth has sprung.

God is all knowing/powerful. But WE have the free will to do as we wish. Thus, God allows evil but he isn't evil.
