What's the best way to get a date for prom?
Everyday i pass by this guy in the halls and he turns his head and smiles at me, i don't know if he is trying to be nice or not, or if he just likes me. Can't help if i'm cute, but anyway whats up with him? I'm 18..don't know what to do
P.S. i know it's kind of early for prom..maybe i can get him before prom
k..got to go feed my cat..

You really don't want to ask anyone until very close to the prom. You may meet another guy and then would already have a date that is months away. Many people just invite a friend to the prom if they don't have a steady bf. If you decide to ask him, try to initiate conversations before you do, speak to him and smile...guys love a nice smile. Try to be around when he is talking with a group and start dicussing prom, or have a friend bring it up. Begin to talk about what others are going to wear, or who they are asking as a date, and see what his reaction is. If he looks at you and makes eye contact, or joins in the conversation, he may be interested. If so just ask him to go...all he can do is say no. Remember that guys risk rejection form girls all the time, you can take a chance once.

How about the next time you walk down the hall and pass him, instead of just smiling to each other, say hi and talk with him. Do that regularly until you become friends and take it from there.

From a guy's point of view: some guys are shy. Some shy are afraid of girls that might be out of their league..(if you know what I mean).
Start with a smile conversation. Like hi. Pass a nice comment about him, like nice shirt or something friendly and take it from there. Make him feel comfortable….and he is yours. That is exactly how I was hitched....

I find that boys like confidence.
Not an overload but some confidence is nice and they don't like a girl that hides behind her locker door.
Just act natural and friendly.
Be confident in yourself.
What is the worst that can happen if you ask?
He won't shoot you. He won't hit you. He won't steal something from you.
Don't put too much thought into this.
Just be yourself.

If he smiles at you in the hall, bump into him or something.. Or if he is at his locker, just get the courage to go talk to him. If he likes you, it will make his day beyond belief if you get the courage to go talk to him.

Wow... have you ever even talked to this guy? Most likely he doesnt like you unless he talks to you... A guy usually goes after what he wants so you shouldnt flatter yourself.

ask him if he's going with anyone to prom.
then if he says no, say "ahh same here. it's so difficult to find someone to go with!"
and then maybe he would say "hey, maybe we should go together?!"
and you could say "oh wow yes! i never even thought of that idea!"
if it was a movie... thats what would happen

Stop and talk to him sometime. One of you has to start a conversation if you're ever going to have one.
