Depends on the base for the type of housing you'll get. Been to a couple of bases where it was duplex setting. Two houses in one structure, then others where there are four or more houses under one roof...more like townhomes. Some have garages some don't, some have big yards others have little yards. If you're starting as a newly married couple you're not going to have much money so living on base is a good option it can be better than living in an apartment in the shady part of town. But if you can save up some money you may want to consider buying a house... your husband will get a housing allowance to live off-base(BAH).
Besides the medical, commissary, BX you also get free use of the base gym & pool. You can also get career advice and resume help at the Family support center. Most bases have a welcome briefing for spouses to provide you with alot of information about the base & surrounding area. Also have your husband check to see if there is a squadron spouses group for you to join.
I think dental you will have to go off-base no matter where you are stationed but your spouse will have dental insurance for you.

Been stationed at four bases in 9 years and some are better than others(sorry no Utah). Feel free to email if you have any questions.

The spouse will get "free" medical care. Dental insurance can be purchased at a serious discount.

Base housing may or may not be available to you based on rank...no kids, don't count on it...most bases have hellacious (think years long) waiting list. Base housing is okay but you are expected to maintain your yard etc, to certain standards and your husband's first sergeant/commander will make sure those standards are maintained. I've lived in base housing twice....my second house was about 50 years old but fairly well maintained.....it was a real pain cleaning it to meet standards when we moved out.

spouses are entitled to an ID which gets them access to the base and all its resources, including medical care, dental( for a fee), access to MWR, Commissary and exchange.

Housing is dependent on location, paygrade, waiting list and bedroom entitlement. you could be stationed somewhere where the waiting list is 2 years long, or you could get some place where there is no wait at all.

the servicemember would be entitled to BAH if applicable( some on base housing you forfeit BAH altogether, others you receive it but it gets taken right back out to pay rent) once you are married, as well as Family Sep when authorized.
