Now here's a question for the times!!!!
Are you asking could I love God more than I love the mother kissing me on the cheek, or are you asking do I love God more than she loves God?
I can see the point of your question. I also happen to see the origins of the thing called "faith".
Faith is a willingness to believe in a thing you can't see or feel. It requires a "leap of faith" to percieve.
I can go with you on the physical aspects of the issue. I can only suggest the benefits of the spiritual side of it.
I can say I love God more because if it weren't His will for me to be answering this question, I would Not be doing so!

i am a daughter i don't think there is any difference many people say that Mother's Love is heavenly but they don't have much words to describe Father's Love Yes our mothers take very gud care of our needs,our desires its the same with our Fathers They are our protectors from every view..(Yes mothers too are our protectors) but here i m talking abt fathers Don't know how but his presence strengthens my concentration while doing a work there is feel of comfort and security and this excerpt is very nice Banjaran ji.

Well because you love God with a different type of love than you would with your parents, it is possible. Jesus said the only way to prove to him that you love him is by keeping his commandments. So I'd say that it is possible to love God (something you cannot see) more than your parents (someone you can see)

Sorry I couldn't answer this I wouldn't know that feeling of my mother and fathers's Love like you describe.
But Yes I love God more than I love my husband and I would hope that my hubby loves God before me its our relationship with God that helps us stay together cause I would have split a long time ago. Long story....maybe I'll tell ya one day.
===============================
BUT, I have forgiven both my parents,one is dead so I couldn't tell her and my dad, well.......

God does not substitute mother. None ever loves God than one's mother. But if you ask this question to anyone the immediate reply will be "I love my God above my Mother". It is sheer hypocrisy as the love for the mother is natural and love of God is taught by the elders. We praise God for returns and we fear God on his reprisals. Mother is love; God stands no where near a Mother's love. Love and take care of your mother in her dependant stage and may 'God bless you for the love you have on your mother'.

The love we have for our mothers, and they love they have for us, is like hatred compared to God's love for us. Mothers abort, abandon, abuse and neglect their children, but God never forsakes us.

Well, without God, I wouldn't have my mummy or myself or anyone for that matter. But without my mummy, I wouldn't be who I am today. I love them both, but God more because he created my wonderful mom (and dad).
