Hey there, i was just curious, should i rustproof the underbody of my 2005 Mustang? i just got it (used tho) and i was wondering if this is even necessary. Am in canada (Toronto to be exact) and we get snow during the winter and salt is layed on the roads and stuff. I've heard ppl say i should/i shouldnt, what do you guys think? thanks for your help!

very very good for the car, and you should be able to sell it for a higher price if it comes down to it. it works very well special resistant to salt and rust, you can be a bottle of undercoating at most hardwar stores. trust me i go to a AUTOMOTIVE SCHOOL and in the long run its worth it speciall y in a mustang.

Park the 'Stang till spring and buy a cheaper beater. Rustproof eventually will hold the moisture against the underbody.

The car's body is dipped into a solution of acid to clean it, and then into another vat called E-coat. This is to prevent rusting.

Since you are in Canada, you may want to have a rust proofing company treat the car. Do you guys have Zeibart up there?

ABSOLUTELY NO RUST PROOFING. Anything that you have to worry about rusting on that car is made of galvanized or electro-galvanized steel. Plus that car has a 5 year / Unlimited Miles corrosion warranty.

Rust proofing gets into places it shouldn't. Can really cause problems down the road.
