I was given a ticket for minor in possession of alcohol and the officer forgot to put a court date on my ticket does this mean I really have no direct time to pay my ticket by or do I even need to pay it at all?

Also my friend got one to and they wrote a court date on his but put jan. 3rd of 2007 and he never signed the the ticket he wants to know if this effects the ticket at all?

You need to call the court. In my state all MIP's are misdemeanors and you are required to show up in court. The citation will not go away just because there is no court date on it. If you don't show up in court, a judge will issue a warrant for your arrest. The responsibility is on your shoulders to contact the court, not the officers.

Call the court and find out your court date. You have one and could get arrested for not being there if you don't go when you are supposed to.
