Could be:
Not enough eggs.
Too much of liquid ingredients.
Crappy recipe.
Oven too cool.
Not baked enough.
Buy a bottle of Karo light or dark corn syrup, follow the recipe on the back. Use a glass pie plate and an oven thermometer.

If you had enough eggs, usually 3 for a nine inch pie pan then you didn't cook it long enough. Buy a digital candy thermometer and use it . It needs to get to 200 degrees F
You also need to let it set for a couple of hours before you cut it. It will come out of the oven with the middle about like jello... not really runny but not hard either.

The only reason I can think of is that you didn't bake it long enuf.
Most pecan pie recipes have eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, nuts, maybe a little salt or vanilla.
It's the eggs that thicken it, and the only reason it wouldn't is undercooking.

With the rest of the ingredients, add 1 tsp flour, blend it in well. This will help the pie set and it will not be runny. . .

Did you use brown sugar instead of white sugar????
My ex gf did this when making her first apple pie and had the very same result.

Add another egg to the recipe.
