im dating this wonderful man for about 2 months, im having a real hard time letting my gaurd down and being able to really trust him. iv known his for about 5 years but im getting to know him on a whole NEW level. in a way i feel i can trust him, but then again i think in the back of my head "he is still a guy and most guys are dogs" which is true for the most part.. im just really confused and dont know what to do about it.. any advice???? plase let me know

I know exactly how you feel because I have been cheated on a few times, and sfter that, i have had SUCH a hard time trusting anyone, friens included. I started dating this really great guy, and I flat out told him that I didn't trust him. He asked why, and I told him that it was because he is a guy. I tried really hard to trust him, and he tried really hard to prove to me that he is trustworthy. My advice for you is to go with your gut if he seems like he would cheat, but if he is totally committed, he will understand that you have probly been screwed over in the past, and if things go for you the way they did for me, you will slowly find yourself trusting him more and more, especially if he has not cheated in the past, and does not give you a reason to not trust him

Many guys are dogs, but not all. You have known him for 5 years, so you know alot of his habits. You are holding him accountable for mistakes other people have made. You need to learn that he not any of those people. It takes time, but you have to learn to trust him. He will make mistakes, but he isn't any of the people who have hurt you in the past.
Just don't involve all your ex boyfriends in your current relationship, or you will never have a successful one, ever.

But anyway... if you can't let your guard down you can't make yourself. Eventually as you learn if he is trust worthy it will get easier and easier.
I am female and a lot of girls are just as guity of cheating and being a "dog" as guys. My neighbor and her sisters are perfect examples... they all claim to love the man they are with but yet when their husbands are gone, they all cheat! So it is not just one sex acting up...
Keep in mind though, a good relationship is built on trust. It just sucks some have to ruin it for others.

yes most guys are dogs. Ur problem is your tired of being hurt and u do want to trust him. Well i can tell u this stop worrying about it just fallow ur heart u never know maybe ur hearts is not ready to trust anyone. there are many reason why ur heart might not want to trust right now. u might of been hurt to many times. if u truly care for him fallow ur heart.

just trust him. i mean he is your boyfriend. the same things goes with girls. when you said "he is still a guy and most guys are dogs" lets rephrase that "she is still a girl and most girls are sluts." just don't think about it tooo much. he is your boyfriend and you do trust him don't put soo much thought itnto it you're going to drive yourself crazy and not trusting your boyfriend is bad.

Dont trust him unless you are ready to. Trust is something that just happends automaticly, you cant make yourself trust him. If you dont trust him, you dont trust him. Dont do anything you arent ready for.
