Jesus said that marriage is to be between woman and man, and he is to love her as he loves himself and she is to be submissive to him. No Where does it say it is OK for man and man to be together or woman and woman. The Bible and God's word talks against it.
As Christians we have good sex as anyone else, we are suppose to have it only with our married partner.======

There are several types of defined love. Universally the Homosexual love means an unnatural affection for the same gender. By definition it includes sexual behavior for the same gender. Anyone can love the same gender in a brotherly type love, or a Godly (spiritual) love, but that is not what the "homosexual" word includes.
The detailed laws you mention from the Old Testament were generated by the Jewish leaders and people more often than not. God did give us certain laws and rules to show us a Godly way to live our lives and these follow over to the New Testament. Homosexuality is one that is not allowed by God in the New Testament.
Your question brings up studies in the types of love and the studies of the Old Covenant and New Covenant, as well as a study of which laws in the Old Testament were added by man to God's original laws. Too much for a simple answer, but I hope I covered it.

You're making generalizations. Generalizations suck because it puts everybody in the same category. That's impossible to do. Anyone and everyone who takes your side of this argument MUST be labeled as an ignoramus. Why do people like you attack the things they no the least about rather than make an honest effort to learn the truth? Is it laziness or just the inability to learn? People like you are the very source of the miseries every man woman and child on this planet face on a day to day basis. It's people like you who perpetuate the problems of the world by the lies and confusion you espouse.

Your right in saying that all sins should be noticed, but in reality THEY'RE NOT. And about gay being love...I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. Just because your gay doesn't mean you LOVE your partner. Just like Heterosexuals or bisexuals or any' 'sexuals. God made a Man and a woman to populate the earth so we could live on. Now a days we have no problem populating the Earth. SO being gay seems alright. Iam Christian and I don't think about sex. They thing as me as a christian have to say about sex is wait until marriage. Some Christians are not right. It's not right to exclude, ridicule, hate, or anyhting of the sort based on sexual orientation, gender, or race ;etc. We all sin and we all have problems and we all need love. Me personally think nothing is wrong w. gays. That's just the world I grew up in. As a Christian I don't so much encourage, but really to me I think we are all masters of our own liberty. Plus, in the bible it says no sin is bigger than the other. No one should feel so much as feeling ashamed of their feelings, but I can't really'preach' on the topic because I am not equipped with the proper knowledge. Well there's an answer. :)

As A Christian I cannot answer this without referencing the Bible. There are verses in the Bible where homosexuality is condemned. There is no harm in loving someone of the same gender, but it is an unnatural sexual act. Using my reasoning skills, and powers of observation, it seems to me that men and women are designed to be together for sex, while a same sex relationship is going against that design.

Read the bible thousands of times and no where in it is crops in a field a sin nor different materials....a sin
and the sin is two fruits in a basket of same gender trying to procreate what doesnt have the ability to do so.......
and thats called ABOMINATION
and a Reprobate mind
as it is spoken of in Romans 1
and when i was growing up the word gay meant happy..
now they have turned happy into Filth and an abomination....humm
and it is as the bible says the will call Good ..evil and evil good........
and they say prophecy doesnt get fullfilled in this day and time

It's no fun arguing with people about the length of their forelocks or whether trousers can be construed as female attire (cross dressing is an abomination too you know - read Leviticus).
And yes, the O.T. does mention mixing fabrics, but that's for priests, who were not to mix wool and linen. This was for symbolic reasons.
But it's often not down to the Christian masses. It's the media who keep shoving their microphones under the noses of the most controversially opinionated clergy they can find; giving the impression that the whole of Christendom is up in arms about gay marriage etc. Most of us couldn't give a .... oops!

wow, i did not know wearing two different materials was a sin. Thats ridiculous, and so are the people who oppose gay relationships. I for one strongly believe a person should be able to love who they want to love, regardless of age, color, or gender. When I think gay, what comes to mind is a bunch of happy people celebrating life and not letting "the norm" or what is "expected" of them to rule their lives.

Somehow I don't think it's the homosexuality that's the problem. It's promiscuity, especially among men. Men are promiscuous by nature, and if one is gay there are no social institutions that promote monogamy. As we know by the HIV pandemic, promiscuous behavior has some very serious consequences. One of the reasons the emperor Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Rome was to try to curb rapidly rising rates of STDs.

Don't get me started!!! I wrote a long answer to this question, but sort of went out on a tangent, so I deleted it. This argument is nothing new, and only angers me, because I am really sick and tired of religious people saying that being gay is wrong. It is really beginnning to wear on my last nerve. Over the past couple of years I have actually decided to refuse to even talk to a person about gay stuff if they refer to anything religious or biblical. It has helped me a lot probably.

Jenny, I think that you are making a very good point here: Christians should be thinking about LOVE rather than what they think is sexual deviations, unnatural practices or whatever. What is unnatural, in MY mind, is for people to pass judgment on each other. I seem to remember a saying by someone of influence in Christianity: "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." (Matt. 7, 1-2)
It's not so much, methinks, the way one loves and whom that should matter to God: it whom one hates. Francine
