Why should he? and anyways, he has already:

made us
sent a big flood
destroyed two cities
sent his son to us
had his son rise from the dead
and orchestrated countless small miracles through the saints

and anyways, he's the big guy. he doesn't have to do anything to prove himself- because that is the ultimate test of faith- believing without seeing

The reason God doesn't "just exhibit himself" is because sinful men can never peer into the face of God and survive. Furthermore, people are arrogant and proud by nature and would just come up with an alternative conclusion, rather than just accepting that it was God. And as for the spectacular miracle, the pharisees during Jesus' time asked Him the same thing and He told them "a sinful and wicked generation seek a sign". God has given men an abundance of evidence to prove He exists, so much so that Psalm 14:1 says: "the fool has said in his heart there is no God". All around us evidence abounds, only a blind man or a fool will try to deny that.

Sometimes, God shows himself in the smallest of ways, but even those are some of the most beautiful things to ever happen on this planet. The sun rising ever day is enough to say he is pleased, then you have the rain, the angels cry for us. If you are not observant to see the little miracles, does he then have to throw a big miracle in your face? God moves the world in little ways. So, dont ask for something bigger, if you cant see the little things.

He performs miracles everyday. Example: when my nephew was 2 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that spread cancer all the way down his spine. The doctors told us he probably wouldnt survive. Chemo and radiation was done to no avail. The cancer didn't react to it at all. In fact it got worse.

We all prayed and prayed and prayed some more... An x-ray taken 2 weeks after his decided fate showed absolutely NO cancer. It completely disappeared in 2 weeks time.

The doctors were completely confused, and still to this day have no explaination but an act of God... a miracle.

miracles were performed for people during Bible times, the parting of the Red Sea was one major thing, resurrections, the healing of people that was done by Jesus using God's Power. So many things that were recorded in the Bible. In our day we don't have things like that but have those examples recorded and writen down for us.

For things to prove God exists today, wow, so many things, just look at the sunset, look at creation, look at all the animals and their specific ways of doing things for a purpose too. Just do research on how complex the Ant is, so many things prove that he exists.

In a sense, I'm glad He (or She?) does NOT. If I were to have a PROOF of God's existence there would be no room as such for FAITH. There is also the issue of FREEDOM. I would feel less free to love God if I were compelled by miracles to admit of His (or HER) existence. Claude.
By the way...in using the feminine form for God I am NOT making fun of it all: just stressing the fact that our theology is too often tainted with patriarchal and even misogynistic views.

God came to earth in the flesh in the form of Jesus. He performed many miracles while here. There were many who did not believe while He was here, what makes you think the masses will believe now! The Lord does not have to prove anything. The belief in having Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is by placing your faith in Him.

he doesnt need to prove himself hasnt everything hes for the world been enough or are you gonna be like doubting Thomas and only believe if you see. Faith is the act of believing without seeing. We do not need to see God to worship him and put all our faith in him we should do it without even need proof.

God made the laws of the universe. What kind of a deity would he be if he broke them in front of everybody?
