all my life i have never and would never. my partner has cheated on me with progressively younger girls throughout the time we have been together so i know how it is to be on the receiving end. so many people say to me why dont you get yourself a fella on the side but i have never , not out of respect or love for him, but respect for myself. and before people say why dont you just leave him, the house is in his name and he will never leave it. i have no money to rent anywhere else. my children have everything they want and need where we are. to leave would mean sharing a bedroom in my mothers house with my kids aged 12 and 9, or leaving them behind. neither of which i can do to them so for now i am stuck. i have enrolled at college full time next sept and as soon as i can be financially independent i will leave!!

I say don't say "yes" OR "no" until you have walked a million miles in any particular married/significant others' shoes.
I have a girlfriend who married very young. After 12 years of marriage her husband was in an accident and became a quadriplegic. She went through years of rehab and he lived 22 yrs at home with no nursing care - only a son (then a teenager) and herself to take care of him. For those who know about such things, that's pretty amazing.
This friend is an absolute saint and I love her to death. She said in 22 years she never cheated but that it was difficult. But, I would NEVER EVER think any less of her if she had.
It was this very situation that made me rethink the idea that there were many more vows than just being "faithful" - love, honor, cherish, 'til death, in sickness, health, poorness, plenty, etc. To truly stick it out through thick & thin is so important... It's where you hang your hat each night that's important, not where it's been for an hour each day.

I would NEVER be unfaithful because I know how gutting it can be.My ex-husband was having an affair with a 17 year old schoolgirl when he was 40. I divorced him but to add insult to injury they had their wedding reception in the hotel I worked in , in the same suite that we held ours whilst I was on duty !
The poor bride didn't have a clue until she heard the staff talking . They ended up rowing and the marraige lasted about 5 months.
Why the TDs for Doobie?
LR:- that's very touching

No. I have a wonderful relationship with mt wife. There is nothing another woman could offer me that would make me risk it.
If I could get away with it? Still no. I would know and the guilt would burn me up.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. It's a horrible feeling to be cheated on, or even to cheat if you have a conscience. If you truly love the person, you wouldn't do such a horrible thing to them, with or without them knowing.

NO, before I cheat I would just end the relationship. I know how it feels to be cheated on and I wouldn't want anyone to feel that way.

Never. I would only cheat on my g/f if she agreed it was OK and joined us. It's OK, she's into chicks too.
