Because, when you find the "right" guy its absolutely perfect. It would only be fair to have to try really hard to get there. Men are so confusing and unpredictable, and its just that that keep us women looking. Some more confusing than others. Its like finding the right bra..wait that's from that creepy Playtex commercial.. Okay, let me think of a better example. Finding the right guy is like finding magical ice cream that makes you skinny-er. We all know that it's not possible. And the same goes for the guy, there's no such thing as the "right" guy, but how close can you get. So you settle for frozen yogurt, even though the stupid people at the store hide it all the way in the back of the freezer!..Just like your guy, he's simply hidden in the back of the freezer. You know he's there, just waiting for you to find him. Be ready to settle for less than right.

Jasmine, guys ask the same question about women.
The answer is always so simple but or so difficult.
First men give love to get sex. Women give sex to get love. Not too complicated,huh?
Some rules that will help. Men aren't worth much until they grow up some, say around age 30.
As the testosterone slows men become much more caring and easier to be around. Women have no clue how all encompassing mens sex drive is. It borders on mania.
Here are some tips that may help.
If you do not like who he is, don't date him. No one needs to feel they should have to change to be acceptable.
If you don't really like men it will be difficult to find one that will last. I always have found that women who have brothers tend to like men a bit more.They seem to be less alien to them.
Look how he treats his mom, other women and wait staff, etc. Does he have a pet? How the animal acts tends to reflect the owner. Learn a bit about what men like. You do not have to like the same thing but find some common interests.
Men tend not to have agendas (except for sex). What you see is what you get.
Can he communicate, is he clean, neat, considerate?
Lastly, to really answer your question. Stay away from bad boys, macho types and find someone you wouldn't normally look at. Bill Gates did well but he was definitely a nerd. Look for that fellow that won't wear thin in a month or two.
Sensitive guys have a really hard time in this macho society. Ask one out, he may not ask you. I won't trust anyone that isn't able to cry. It may not be macho but it is human.

Well, it depends on what you're looking for. I would make a list of things you're looking for in a guy and them prioritize them. (Most important on top and so on down the line). The bottom portion of the list should be things you're willing to fudge on. The top part are your most important priorities, traits that are an absolute must. Then, compare the potential suitor to the items that are highest on your list.

Of course the younger you are, the more time you have to search. But it doesn't matter what your age, you'll find true love eventually. Just don't give up!

I think it's because when you are looking for a guy they feel that you are and stay away.

Like how girls like bad boys, they want nothing to do with you so you are attracted to them.

I would just go and hang out with some friends in a public place.

If a guy smiles at you smile back; if he keeps looking and smiling, smile back a few more times but don't focus all of you attention on him.

Talk to your friends, laugh, and have a good time.

I think guys would be more attracted to a girl who is happy and independent than a girl trying to hook her claws into him.

I think it's because in life, there are some men who just want to get in your pants, some men who want your money, and some men who are torn between you and some other girls. No woman will have any of those men. There are some men who really care about you, they don't want to control you, and they really love you. That is the right man.
Same goes for women; there are some women who just want to get in the men's pants, some women who want the guy's money, and some women who's torn between the guy and some other men. A man won't have any of those women. There are some women who actually care, who don't want to control you and actually love you. that's the right woman.

It is hard to find the right guy for all the same reasons it is hard to find the right girl. You know what kind of guy you are looking for it is just a matter of finding him. No matter what guy you date you will spend a bit of time thinking he is the right guy. I dated 2 different girls for 8 and 6 months and I spent that time thinking they were both perfect. They both cheated on me.

Then, after describing the ideal, hottest, sexiest, intelligent, honest, perfect, dream-lover, one must temper the ideal with reality. Most people have trouble doing this.
