Maybe the group could adopt a family for the holidays. Maybe find a needy family to donate some food and toys. Look around your school or church and everyone decide what the best corse of action to take is. Maybe you could do a school wide drive for food and toys and give to several families. Also you all can organize a dinner maybe for the Saturday or Sunday before christmas and feed the community.

Try to find something that helps the kids, Samaritans purse does the shoe boxes, Prisonfellowship ministries does the angel tree gifts prison for prisoners kids, I am sure that in your local area there are somethings going on you could get involved with, check with your local churches and communitys centers, good luck and God Bless!!!

Try looking on the volunteer opportunities for your area on VolunteerMatch (http://www.volunteermatch.org) or CraigsList (http://www.craigslist.com). If you don't see opportunities that interest you, but you see organizations in which you might be interested, call them and tell them you would like to volunteer, how many hours you could contribute in December, what days and times you would be available, etc. Or, if you don't want to volunteer but want to donate, then go through these same channels to find sponsorship programs. A local community of faith (church, mosque or temple) can help as well.
