A college degree shouldnt determine the quality of a good relation ship or love for that matter. If a woman is what you need then you will get her, college degree or not. In the long run you may meet the girl of your dreams in college but then again she may not be your soulmate! She could be the girl who works at the laundry mat or the bartender at the bar you go to often. If it's financial status after college is what you look for after college then yes go with a girl who has a degree, because studies do show that a person who has a college degree will make at least 10 times more money than a person without one.So depending on how you look at it,that should determine your choice. But to have a relationship solely based on the fact of a college degree or not, ummmmm, kinda shallow!

my husband married me and we've together more than five years. I'm going back to school in the spring finally, but for 10 years I was a professional journalist and didn't really need a degree. I don't believe a degree is an accurate reflection of a person's intelligence or drive. There are plenty of people who have learned more relevant things in the real world than can be taught in a classroom. Having said that, I'm off to Pharmacy school :)

I don't know, actually. I think it would have to depend on the girl. A college degree doesn't really make anyone smarter or better than anyone else, and if someone had a good career that didn't require a degree, I guess it wouldn't matter. But I would not marry a woman who was a ditz, regardless of her degree status. For example, anyone like Paris Hilton would, in my book, be too much of a moron to be able to stand for more than one night.

I didn't know you needed to have a degree to get married. What are the studies required to get married? I have been married for a very long time before I got mine but what the heck. Maybe I missed something.

I'd say yes.
Two years ago, I was in a relationship with a 25-year old girl who hadn't gone to college - she had maybe a few credits toward an AA and that was it.
And if we were still together, we'd probably be married now.

Yes, I would. I don't have a degree so why would I judge the woman. I'm 34 and I tried college and things got messed up so I dropped out.

i would if i loved her. although i think it would result in a traditional relationship because for its more economical for the person with a higher degree to get ajob, and the other to stay home, unless you can afford to higher a sitter for your kids, or dontplan to have any. either way if you could make it work out monitarily it wouldnt be a problem. certainly cant judge a person based on education, especially if they are trying to improve it.

Well, assuming that I actually would get married, Yeah sure. College only makes you forget to tie your shoes. VERY expensive piece of paper.

Has nothing to do with love. It's just a sheep skin to hang on a wall. I have 2 Doctorates, means nothing to other people.
