Why do middle-class Caucasian environmentalists talk about NOT having children in order to save the planet?

Have they been subjected to some clever racist sort of propaganda, aimed at shrinking the Caucasian population? If so, who would produce such propaganda and why would anyone be so foolish to take it seriously?

I don't believe there is a race agenda in this, but obviously it doesn't help the western world which has a birthrate below the replacement threashold and whose leaders seem to think that massive third world immigration will solve the problem.

These women are certainly wasting their families legacies given that the third world birthrate will more than make up for the lack of children of these women. Not only that, but the societies which have the most chance to reduce the impact of humans on the environment through using technology will become less able to do this through declining population whilst the societies most likely to degrade the environment will continue to expand.

I am a white collar middle class Caucasian whom chose not to have children, way back when I was poor.

This is not, and will not ever be a race issue.

I chose not to have children because I had to take care of a younger brother with down syndrome.

Back women in the USA do not have an average of 6 kids. What kind of moron came up with that?

And NO, no single group should alone take the task to stabilize the world population.

Indeed, if we could stop moslem and the evangelical Christians from speaking against birth control in Africa, the world would be a better place.

For my part as I belong to an endangered cultural group (which is not the case of Arabs, Hispanics, Chinese, Anglosaxons and co...) I won´t restrict myself from having offspring.

It's the new ultimate "must have" to be environmentally conscious. Your yuppie neighbors couldn't possibly outscore you in environmental awareness if you get sterilized to "Save the Earth."

Their logic is quite clear. We have an overpopulation problem. By not reproducing, they're not contributing to the overpopulation problem.

Your logic I can't figure out. Because African women average 6 babies each, white women should have lots of babies?
