Homosexuality is not a choice, for most. And, "NO", a true christian/muslim cannot be a homosexual, in my humble atheistic opinion.

Yes, homosexuality is a choice because it's a behavior not a genetic predisposition.
No, there are no "homosexual" genes.
Yes, anyone can behave in any manner they choose.
Scientists have sent a vehicle to Mars which returned real-time images to earth. An amazing feat.
I'm thinkin' that if there were a homosexual gene or strain of DNA, it would have been discovered by now.

Homosexuality is a desire for close, affectionate, sexual relationships with members of one's own gender. Sometimes these desires are inborn, sometimes they are the result of some sort of trauma or fear.
Desire, in itself is not a sin.
The sin comes in when a person puts that desire into action.
But do keep in mind that heterosexuality is also an inborn desire, and that practice is also sinful if not covered by the covenant of marriage.
So, the sin is the result of a choice. The choice is whether or not to put your desire into action. All people have the ability to repent of a sin, so yes, true Christians can be homosexual.
I don't know about muslims.

what is your deal with homosexuals. Leave it alone and read your book of the loving god and don't worry your self about where anyone else is going. My God enough already.A choice? That is stupid You are born that way. If you can't understand it then let it go. What is a true christian? One who judges people.you people have way too many issues.

Well, I'm an alcoholic. I was born that way. But I don't get drunk because I know its a sin.
Get where I'm going with this?
Its not a sin to just be a homosexual. But it IS a sin if you engage in that activity. The sad thing is that society has convinced most everybody that homosexual sex is NOT a sin. Thats the rub

You ask if homosexuality is a choice, in the religious section? Why?
That's like asking Americans how it feels like to be Chinese.
My guess is, just a small tip of course, you'd get better answers in the GLTB section.

We are all sinners, including Christians.
Our sins are varied.
Homosexuality is just another sin, so I'm sure many Christians are homosexual.

If homosexuality is a choice, then at some point in their lives, all heterosexuals must have rejected that choice in favor or their heterosexuality. How did they decide?

Indeed they can, but homosexuality is not a choice. They are genetically programmed (I don't claim to know how) to be attracted sexually to the same sex. Of course they can be Christian! Love for Jesus and a desire to see God has nothing to do with your sex life.
Having said that, if they truly want forgiveness and repentance, they must make the hardest decision in their life and give up relations with the same sex. In the same way, an alcoholic must make the decision to never drink, a gambler must never go into a casino, a glutton must diet.
It aint' easy, I've got my own sins to deal with, so I know. All we can do is love them and help them the best we can :)

It is a choice, its in the bible I know that, its like lying, cheating, stealing, swearing and curseing, sin is sin to God, in any form. Anyone can come to Jesus and he can help the overcome their problems, there is nothing to hard for God, but they have to give it to Jesus, Just a closer walk with thee, Grant it Jesus is my Plea, slowly walking close to thee, let be dear Lord, let it be!!!!
