Well... One thing I realised when I really hit the books each night was that afterward, I retained information and remembered things so much easier after someone told them to me or when I read them... So my studying REALLY improved as I worked more. Studting id different for everyone, but heres what works for me...
Read the text, write the points down, read the text, write the points down, read the points, write them, down, keep going, going, going, till you can reherse them. I remembered them well enough that I can list points from each subject right here right now and even though some stuff might not be in the test, its better to have this in your head. Each and every night, revise and write the summaries of everything you KNOW will be in the test. Write essays on big topics. We wrote study essays on trade, communism, etc... OOOH! A fantastic tip that never ever fails you... Read your essays from earlier on in the y7ears, especially the oned you did well in. I swear those got me plenty extra marks in my exams. Well, good luck, and eat healthy. (And study the hours right before examsn, light studying, there might be something you JUST manage to get in your head thats the first question worth 6 marks...) Oh, oh and resting takijng braks important.

A few tips and tricks for studying are.......
1. always stay focused on work (dont get distracted)
2. If you are studying definitions make flash cards for the definitions and study off of that.
3. If you didn't understand anything you did in class you should always tell the teacher BEFORE the test.
4. Try reviewing what you learned every day for at least 20 minutes.

Well, for studying I would suggest something called the 'Big Rock' technique. Think of studying as a 'big rock', and things such as TV, MSN, and other recreation as 'small rocks'. Complete the Big Rocks first. They may be heavier, but you get them out of the way, and then all you have to worry about are small rocks.

Another thing you might be interested in is something called the 'Cornell Note Taking System'. With this system, 2 lines are drawn on your note taking paper; one vertical line about an inch to the right of the margin, and one horizontal line about 6 lines from the bottom of the page. The note is taken in the big section. When you can think of them, write questions about the note in the bar to the left. At the end of class, write a summary of the note in the bottom section. This system is proven to help you learn better.

Well you should:

Get a couple of peices of cardboard and write up all the subjects you have and how many times you think you sould study them before the Exams.

Then Draw boxes on the cardboard and make half hour slots after school/uni

I have three 45 minute slots normaly but it is personal choice

then write in each subject in what ever oder you want and remember to STAY to this schedual. If you miss a session make up for it another day.

Hope i can help

- get as much rest as possible ( helps you remeber more )
- drink lots of coffee.
- dont cram.
- eat heathy and dont fill up on junk.
- turn off any destractions; tv; computer; cell; etc.
- allow yourself 15 min breaks every so often, but not too many that you get lazy and deside not to study anymore.
- study in a organized room.

:) ...works like a charm!

write it over and over. make up mini quizzes on the side of you paper then answer without looking at notes. notecards only help with vocab. things for chemistry is like back in elementary school when you had to write each word 5 times over and over again.
