So my boyfriend told me as we were getting busy that he likes the fact that we're so close and it feels like two best friends doing it.. What was that supposed to mean?! Now I'm freaking out because I read in Cosmo that it's a bad idea to be best friends with your boyfriend. He still treats me like his girlfriend and everything is the same, I just don't get what he meant by that and if that could potentially ruin our relationship?

Nah, don't sweat it. And don't believe everything you read in a magazine either, especially Cosmo!! It's obvious he's happy, and if you are too, then there's no problem. Being best friends can help too, especially in communicating each other. He just meant that he feels like he can approach you with anything! It's a great thing. Just calm down and enjoy what you have!

it's not necessarily a bad thing to be best friends with a BF depending on the way you guys interact. if you break up and still keep the best friend connection. but if you are afraid of ruining the friendship or make the relationship awkward jest ask him what he meant so you can be on the same page. I'm no expert but i hope this helps.

Ok, you need to take Cosmo at face value. It's a fashion magazine. Second, you need to tell him your feelings and ask what he mens. All the people here could give what they think he means. Cosmo may have a test to tell you what he means. However, we, the answers, and Cosmo are not him. Ask him and tell him your fears. Be happy you two are so close.

Don't listen to anything in Cosmo. Those are all a bunch of frustrated, divorced hags writing those stories who wouldn't know a good man if he bit them on their a*s.
I am best friends with my wife, and we have been married 15 years. That's the best possible situation you can have.
(PS: Read Allure, it's a far better magazine with health articles that are actually written by Doctors and they don't just make stuff up to sell magazines.)

Honestly, I think thats a really good thing. My best friend is my Boyfriend, So even if we broke up he would still be a friend to me, and he feels the saem way, it makes it some much eaiser to talk to. That way, he will open up to you more. Don't freak out. Its okay.

Oh no, no, no. I am best friends with my boyfriend & it is the best thing in the world.

Feel lucky that he loves you enough to say that..but make sure that he doesn't think of you too much as a friend.

Heck! Me and my boyfriend have a best friend hand shake..lol.

Don't ever take cosmo seriously, it's a load of crap

That's good to be bestfriends with your boyfriend. I am with mine, I actually consider him to be the male version of my girl best friend.

It's when he starts inviting you to boys night, treating you more like one of the guys then something special that you should be worried.

Cosmopolitan is written by idiots.
If you and your b/f arent best friends then dont ever plan on getting married.Because ANYONE can get along in the bedroom its after you put your clothes back is what tells whether or not you'll stay together.
However, ANYTIME unmarried couples "get busy" they are risking becoming single parents because there is NO commitment in premarital sex.

from my perspective u have nothing to worry about on the contrary u should b happy. if he considers u as his best friend it simply means he is confortable around u to tell u anyhing an share his most hidden secrets as it is in any real "best-friend" relationship.
