If he wanted us to know it wouldn't he make it known?
We do know the day he died., he made that known by the passover meal.
Just wondering, why?

If it is not important enough for God to make it known then why do they celebrate christmas as his birthday.
Since he wasn't born on that day anyway?

Because God doesn't want Jesus to be worshipped, all worship belongs to
God you see God even disposed of Mosess's body so as not to enshrine it (Jude 9) . . .But when Mi′cha‧el the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: “May Jehovah rebuke you.”. . .

(Ecclesiastes 7:1-4) . . .A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born. 2 Better is it to go to the house of mourning than to go to the banquet house, because that is the end of all mankind; and the one alive should take [it] to his heart. 3 Better is vexation than laughter, for by the crossness of the face the heart becomes better. 4 The heart of the wise ones is in the house of mourning, but the heart of the stupid ones is in the house of rejoicing.

(Matthew 20:17-19) . . .Being now about to go up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the twelve disciples off privately and said to them on the road: 18 “Look! We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be delivered up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, 19 and will deliver him up to [men of] the nations to make fun of and to scourge and to impale, and the third day he will be raised up.”

You see it was the death of Jesus that was the most important thing, his ressurection proved nothing his going to a death as a perfect man paid the ransom that adam lost
(Romans 5:12) 12 That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned—.

(Romans 5:19) . . .For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were constituted sinners, likewise also through the obedience of the one [person] many will be constituted righteous. . .

It would be mentioned if it were important.

What is mentioned, however, is when He would come (the first time).

The book of Daniel (Chap 9) says that it will will be 483 years from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of the Anointed One (the ruler).

At the time of Daniel, the Jews were in exile in exile in Babylon. Archaeologists have found the decree of the Babylonian king (Artaxerxes) authorizing the rebuilding of Jerusalem. The decree was recorded as having occurred on the first of Nisan, 444 BC (equivalent to March 4, 444 BC on our calendar). Exactly 483 years (sixty nine prophetic "weeks") later was March 30th, 33 AD. This is the date of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem just prior to His Crucifixion.

This is powerful "scientific" evidence of the supernatural nature of Jesus and the Bible. Copies of the book of Daniel were discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls. These scrolls have been carbon-dated to about 150 years BEFORE the time of Jesus. In other words, the book of Daniel really did predict the coming of Jesus...to the day...nearly 500 years before it happened. There is only one way to explain this.

Don't worry about when Jesus was born. Just be glad He was.

Jesus' birth happens precisely 4 days after the winter solstice. On the day after the solstice (Dec. 22), the sun rises at it's southernmost point, the constellation Virgo. This is the symbolic "death" of the sun. The sun rises there for the next 3 days. Then on the 4th day (Dec. 25) it begins creeping back to the north.

That is the origin of the story of Jesus, as it is the origin of the story of many other deities. The sun represents the "son" aka Jesus, the constellation Virgo represents the Virgin Mary, and the beginning of the sun's movement back to the north represents the "birth".

There's a lot we don't know. For reasons that only God knows, there are some things that we won't know until we get to Heaven. With the Bible Code being broken now, we may learn a lot more. It's been in the word since the beginning but we just now have the knowledge to find it. God will reveal in His time these things. We are only to trust God and know that He is working for our best interest. Trust and Faith are our tools and we must learn to use them Not much help, I know ,but it's all I can offer I really believe any other answer would be a guess, a lie, or just someone trying to be cute to convince you there is no God. I pray you won't fall for it.

I don't think the early christians or the Jews celebrate birthdays.
I do think that if he can preserve the bible and give men prophecys and detailed instructions that if he wanted his birthday known it would have been recorded.
They just use religion and heart strings to make people spend money. It is just a money making hox.
Another way people use religion to further their own agendas.

As the so called "Bible" was written 400 years after the birth of Jesus and as it was written under different civilization even in another language than that of Jesus…it was filled with inaccurate events and cots; so, obviously dates and documentation were out of questions….

The date is not known as it cost alot of male children their lives as it was. Remember the prophesy of Rachel crying for her children. When the Son of God is about to be Born, the old devil is going to be working hard. And even with no date Joseph had to take the child and escape into egypt. Of course the mystery that God hid from Satan was that Jesus would die for the sins of the whole world. Satan never caught on to the fact that a perfect Sacrifice that was going to be resurrected the third day would forever atone for the sins of the whole world. This just shows how God is still in control of the world and everything is still happening according to his will at this present time. No doubt that he wants us to live peaceably with all men but the Bible says there shall be wars and rumors of wars until the end of days. This is happening now. Jesus's death on the cross paid for our sins. He was our ransom. Now all we have to do is be Born Again as Jesus said in John 3:3. Have you ever accepted Jesus as your Lord?Have you ever confessed to him you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. If you are willing you canbe born again right now and start a new life with Jesus in your heart, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

I have seen convincing arguments that Jesus was born during the feast of Tabernacles (which celebrates the fact that God dwelt among his people in the tabernacle) - This is echoed by Jesus dwelling among us in a tabernacle of flesh! :)

"Since Jesus was conceived six months after John the Baptist, and we have established a likely date for John's birth, we need only move six months farther down the Jewish calender to arrive at a likely date for the birth of Jesus. From the 15th day of the 1st month, Nisan, we go to the 15th day of the 7th month, Tishri. And what do we find on that date? It is the festival of Tabernacles! The 15th day of Tishri begins the third and last festival of the year to which all the men of Israel were to gather in Jerusalem for Temple services. (Lev 23:34)"

That would put Jesus's birthday around late September/early October in our modern calendar! :)

i used to be a bigtime christian, but recently have pulled away. the way we used to justify your question was the fact [or belief] that he didn't want people to celebrate his birthday because he knew it would get out of control. [like christmas today, not really anything to do with christs birth anymore.

Such things were not important to people back then. But interestingly, a horoscope cast for a particular date around 6bc comes up as that of a king who is over all other kings.

Coincidence? I don't think so.
