My 4.5 year old son is so smart, I want his little mind to continue to flourish. I also want him to gain social skills and have fun. I think he is antsy at home and ready to explore and leave the house for part time preschool before he goes to Kindergarten next year. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are a single income family and can't afford too much.

The best bet is to call your local resource and referral agency. They will provide you a list of schools in your area and offer advice on what to look for when calling and visiting the schools. The parents best bet is to be educated on finding a school that will best serve their child.

As far as encouraging learning, go to starfall and get him started there. He may not get the social skills there but he will learn and have fun. Good Luck!!
