I heard news that the eastern terminus of I-74 in Cincinnati has a proposal of an extension to North Carolina in I-77. It is similar to U.S. Highway 52 which is a diagonal northwest-southeast highway running from Canada to South Carolina. Will the western terminus of I-74 be extended to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and possibly terminating to I-94? This will be America's first longest diagonal interstate highway. There's also reports that I-69 has an extension proposal to the U.S.-Mexico border.

I-74 will not be extended to Minneapolis any time soon. maybe in 50 years

I-69 is not proposed anymore, it has been approved and a section in Mississippi is completed, and others are scheduled or under-construction for the next 10 to 15 years. In kentucky there is a toll road which kentucky is considering using that as I-69 through their state.
