Before you start spending loads of money on different creams or surgeries, there are a few simple techniques you can try on your own at home. If your stretch marks are not too severe or aged, you can try taking a body brush and scrubbing the affected areas while in the shower. This loosens up the skin, and removes the dead skin on top, leaving fresh, more normal colored skin underneath.

The cheapest stretch mark treatment available is creams made especially for stretch marks. The most effective creams contain ingredients such as cocoa butter, lanolin and wheat germ oil. These creams actually heal and rebuild the damaged skin. While they may not be able to completely eliminate stretch marks, they may at least make the stretch marks fade to a barely visible scar.

* Skin Creams and Lotions – Lotions containing cocoa butter are rumored to not only help reduce stretch marks, but to help prevent them entirely. Any cream or oil that is made specifically for the prevention or treatment of stretch marks will help keep your skin healthy and elastic.

* Vitamin A, E & C – Supplementing these vitamins may help increase the strength and elasticity of the collagen within your skin and reducing your chance of forming stretch marks.

* Stay hydrated.

# Time – Stretch marks, like all types of scarring fade over time.

# Retin-A (Tretinoin) – 0.1% Tretinoin creams have been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. These creams work best when used on fresh stretch marks.

# Exfoliate daily – use a loofah or scrunchy to remove daily.

# Vic’s Vapor Rub – Many people have reported success using Vic’s Vapor rub by applying it to a washcloth or paper towel and rubbing it forcefully into the scarred skin on a nightly basis for a few weeks.

# Increase Circulation – by taking hot baths and massaging the areas regularly.

# Tanning – Go sunbathing! Tanning can diminish and even eliminate minor stretch marks. Be sure to use sun screen.

# Vitamin E Gel – Break open vitamin E capsules and rub the oil into the skin over the stretch marks daily for 2 weeks.

Once you have them, you have them. Sorry. There are creams and such that may cause them to fade a bit, but they will always be there.

The only way to get rid of them is if you have them surgical removed during a tummy tuck. Even that doesn't always get all of them.

There is no way to actually get rid of them, they just eventually fade to look like your normal skin tone. Although, you can have plastic surgery to get rid of them, but insurance doesn't pay for it since it is cosmetic so it is all out of pocket. Welcome to the club! LOL

Once you have them they're there to stay. Don't worry though, they'll fade over time as your skin heals.

In the future, you can prevent them by regularly moisturizing to help the skin be more elastic though.

You don't. You can minimize their appearance by using Vitamin E Oil or cocoa butter, but you are stuck with them for life, unless you can afford plastic surgery.
