You can find info on the net. You can control your attacks by NOT eating fried foods. Everyone has gallstones, some may be as little as a grain of sand, others as big as your thumb. When you eat greasy foods your gallbladder expels bile to help break up these foods. Gallstones are also expelled and when the stones are too large to pass.....PAIN follows. I would not advise flushing. If a stone is caught in the pancreatic duct, you can develop pancreatitis, which can be deadly. It is a simple surgery, usually 20 min, and you can have it as an outpatient. Discuss with your MD.

Well I had them too while I was pregnant but I didn't know it and the attacks were few and far between and not that bad..later on after baby they were excruciating like labor all over again...so my advice is stay away from anything fatty or spicy. Literally do not eat anything even a piece of cheese or a potato chip....the gallbladder will try to release the bile to digest the fats and then the stones will get stuck and cause a attack. I had 5 crispers crackers thinking the fat content was not too bad and I had only a few and a hour later while in a store line up I started having a attack, I barely made it home. So read all labels best you can and stay away from anything with even minimal amounts of fats and spiciness. As for what you can take, being pregnant you will have to ask you doctor...I would take ibuprofen but it did not help, I was prescribed T3's and they made me sick and pass out so I normally got a hot washcloth and stuck it on the painful spot and layed on my side trying to wait it out.

Drinking a lot of citrus juice and apple juice, will help to make the galstones softer which should help you pass them. I would look into doing a flush maybe-if it's ok with your doctor. Usually removing the gallbladder isn't really necessary and doing a flush is much easier than going through surgery.

Everyone is different, but don't eat anything spicy or greasy. I have a remedy though if you get an attack. Drink milk right away and eat yogurt. It really works. I've had it and I know how painful the attacks are.

steer clear of fatty & acidic foods, drink plenty of water...whilst away buy only bottled water to drink. Have a good time and try not to worry cos that wont help either.
