PS3 Overheating?

I think my PS3 overheated caused it shut down during in use. Will it ever turn back on? its been a whole day.

The PS3 is a tough console to overheat, but it is possible. My PS3 has never overheated, but I do know that if the PS3 gets too hot the green power light should have blinked orange/yellow and the console will turn off by itself.

Your PS3 must not have been getting the proper air flow, and if you have your PS3 in a closed area, it needs to be relocated in an open area where plenty of air can flow through the console.

I read in the users manual that if the PS3 ever overheats, you should leave it off for a few hours until it cools off and then just turn it back on and it should be fine.
