I went to a wedding about 4 years ago in a church. The last service was about 10 years ago. I was trying to hook up with a catholic girl, so I suffered for a couple of hours. Oh I almost forgot. I saw Mr. T from the A-team give his testimonial at a church in vegas about 2 years ago. I only went to see Mr T in person.

Now, now, don't hold a grudge. He probably didn't have much choice in the matter. Church is not a great place to have an actual discussion. Issues are supposed to have been decided already and the preaching is just exhortation about what everyone already "knows". Being the youth pastor, he couldn't very well allow anyone to contradict his superiors. He could lose his job.
Technically, I'm agnostic, although I certainly don't believe in the type of "God" my fellow parishoners seem to believe in. I still go every weekend, just for the community. But I discuss theology and ethics elsewhere.

Other than weddings and funerals, the last time I set foot in a church was at the ripe old age of 12. That was when I got kicked out of Sunday School for asking WHY it is that god would send a serial killer to heaven as long as he accepted Jesus as his saviour before he died, but a really great philanthropist or teacher would go to hell if he didn't accept Jesus as his saviour. The Sunday School teacher didn't have an answer for that one other than the old standby of the Christian faith: "Ours is not to question the way of the Lord". F***, I can't remember how many times I heard that line!! Well, when I kept pressing the question, I was shown the door, and I never returned. I'd rather burn in hell than spend an eternity with peckers like that.

I went to a Catholic wedding a few months ago, and a Christian one over the summer. Other than weddings/funerals, I haven't set foot in a church in years. Easily 5-7 years. (I've been an atheist for about 3)
I attended regularly for about 2 years when I was a Christian.

Gosh, other than a wedding? Ohhhh.. Oh my...
I don't remember. It must've been maybe, 1992? 93? I'm not sure?
My situation was like hours, except, my parents were disgusted too, and left the church. Their friend, a deacon, came out as gay and was ejected from the congregation. My parents decided they didn't want to be part of any congregation that didn't accept homosexuality.
---
EDIT: No wait, I did attend a Unitarian service with my brother, who was checking it out, just a couple of years ago. They were blessing their pets -- I'm not making this up.

I had to attend a funeral mass in a Catholic Church a few weeks ago. The priest seemed very nice, the music was decent (if too much of it!).
The communion made me snicker, I'm afraid, because it identified the passive observers like myself from the active believers who took communion.
Its been so long since Ive been in a catholic church, I was shocked that the mass was spoken in English. When did they stop doing it in Latin?

Nobody wants to go to church, LoL, not even christians. I get the creeps everytime i walk into a lot of churches, not all, but i get this feeling like evil spirits are in there watching me. And then they jump into people during ceremonies, LoL, and they think they caught the holy ghost. LMAO, its disgusting and pure comedy at its best. I'm not atheist though

Other than a wedding? Wow....I was probably about 13 but I honestly don't remember.
I was in a friend's wedding about 5 years ago. Those Catholic's take forever to get through it. It lasted about an hour and a half.

In High School, my friend used to drag me to Youth Group all the time. We also went to ska and punk shows at church halls with Christian pop-punk and ska bands (I don't care how preachy they got at the end, Five Iron Frenzy put on a hell of a show).
Haven't really been to one since, unless you count my Aunt's funeral, where they had a full Mass.
Edit -
JonJon, I thought about taking Communion as well, but since it'd been years since I'd taken the Host, I figured she would understand that it wasn't my thing any more.

My grandpa's funeral (about 2 weeks ago). (dad's side)
(It was in a church)
I stopped going to church at the age of 15.
But my family moved into my grandma's house (mom's side) to take care of her when I was almost 18.
I was going, just so I wouldn't have to tell my 90 year old grandma, that I was an Atheist. I didn't like it, but I lumped it.
(Her church teaches ppl can lose their salvation).
