Well, all religions believe in one god but in differant ways. To say, Christians believe in Jesus right, but most Indians do not. Look at it like this everyone believes in God in differant ways. I belong to an Indian culture called Sikhism. You probably do not know about it. In my religion we believe that God is the most important person and that God gives you everything, Like your house and stuff. We don't believe in Jesus, or hell and heaven. Like I said before Christian's do believe in God, but also Jesus. They think of God in differant ways. Since every culture is differant they became seperate. Some religions believe in this, some cultures believe in that, but we mostly all believe in GOD!!

Hope I was help.

There isn't just one god -- there are many, many Gods.

That's why most of the world's religions were pagan, polytheistic religions -- thousands of pagan religions throughout history, and only about four or five monotheistic religions.

Even if you're talking about the monotheistic religions: what makes you think they all worship the same god? From a pagan perspective, Allah and Yahweh and Jesus are three different deities. Not that we believe in any of them, but they sure are different.

As a Wiccan, I believe in one supreme God and one supreme Goddess. The supreme God is our Horned God, and the supreme Goddess is our Moon Goddess. But even though I worship Them above all other deities, they are not the only deities in the universe. I also honor plenty of other pagan deities, so I'm a polytheist.

Wiccans, like most Pagans, think that religious diversity is a good thing. If we had true religious diversity, that would mean hundreds of different religions, with each one having no more than about one percent of the people as adherents. Then there would be no way for any one religion to take over and try to pass its laws and etc.

back in the day when Christ walked the Earth he established his gospel the way it was to be done.
In Ephesians. 4: 11 it says;
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
after the death of Jesus Christ and the Apostles there was no longer direct revelation on the earth. Everyone had been taught the gospel but only a few practiced what Jesus had taught them. soon the ideas of man mixed with scripture were prevelant across the land and the true gospel of Christ was no longer on the Earth.
The reason there are so many different religions is that man wanted religion and if they didn't like what they heard, they formed there own church and tried to teach the word of God. But, without direct revelation from God they were lost and fell away from the truth. the truth has been restored. do you know where to find it? may God bless you in your search for the truth and may he keep you from any harm this holiday season.
Merry Christmas

Every word written and read is open to interpretation (and misinterpretation) and translation by each person who reads it. After it has been translated many times through the years, it may not even have the original meaning. That is what has happened with religions. Then, you throw some politics, gold, greed, corruptness into the pot with the religion, and sometimes scribes were ordered to re-write the Word etc. for the enrichment of the government. Each person should look in their own heart and mind for what they believe to be true. And to the guy who said fake religions and false gods, you should try to open your mind and take a journey out of ignorance sometime. Read and study different religions and, above all, allow each person the right to believe and practice their beliefs as long as it's not injuring another person. Amen, let's eat!

Religions for the most part,,,have nothing to do with God...they usually worship a false God. If they rewrite the bible as the JWs have done, or add a book that must be read along side the real bible,,,..they are worshiping a false God. They are not worshiping the God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac....

There is only one True God and those who find him,,,must go through Jesus to find him. Jesus is the only way to the One True God....

The simplest definition of religion is that it teaches us the way of life or how we spend our lives in this world and find ourselves and our maker. Religion is like education. There are different schools of thought and classes to pass through or complete a course of degree. All the religions teach to find
one god, but they follow same centuries old course prescribed in one culture. There is no comparison between the religions ! Therefore if you want to spend a nice and simple life in this world, compare and contrast popular religions. As you decide which course to follow to obtain
certain degree similarly use your judgement to find only one religion to find the real God ! God may help you.

Sometimes peoples come up with their own ideas seperately as they are seperated geographically.

One group may start one religion and one group another.
They may develope their own god's to try and explain things that they sense around them.

Churches are a little different.
Churches develope and split to form splinter groups. Some make it big, some don't. All claim to be the best.

Now, hundreds of years later and we have many different blends of Christianity for example. You just have to choose the one that best suits your lifestyle. Or you may just inherit your favoured brand of god from your parent's teachings.

There are more than one god. Because if every person worshiped one god they would be following the same religion.

The way people were brought up. Even though there is different religions, there is 1 God, as long as we follow the bible and his word we are the same to him.

There are many approaches to and understandings of God. No single religion or philosophy is right for everyone. It is interesting, though, to compare religions and see how similar they actually are in their most basic beliefs.
