As stated by theists throughout history, that God and Satan do not get along. So God rules heaven and the Devil rules Hell. What would the motivation be for Satan to therefore do any of God's bidding, when all of us atheists and evil non-believers are thrown into Hell to be punished? I would hedge my bet that the Devil would do nothing that God wanted him to, so the punishment would never happen, etc.

Since Satan is supposedly evil, I'm sure he'll enjoy poking us with his pitchfork over supper.

The motivation of the devil is to steal souls. He puts temptation in one's path and makes sin look attractive. When you sell your soul to Satan, there's always a price to pay. Satan does not do God's bidding. In fact, he does everything in his power to go against God. Your theory is a bit flawed, because Satan's followers are doomed. The punishment is real and it's eternal.

It was Pride that caused Lucifer to be cast from heaven to become The Devil or Satan. Satan was once a beautiful angel, but he became full of himself and wanted to be worshiped as the Creator, when he was the Creation.

Satan chose to love himself more than he loved his creator, and he was cast out of heaven for his pride. He also gathered one-third of the other angels to support him (they are now what we call Demons).

While God knew all along that Satan would turn against him, he still created him. Because as hard as it might seem, God creates because he loves.. even if he knows his creation is going to cause him pain.

Satan's problem is the root of all problems, he is full of pride.
He wants man to turn from God and follow him, because Satan thinks he deserves the worship. And while Satan knows he will never rule heaven, he doesn't care, his mission is to destroy God not in heaven, but in the hearts of men and women.

He hates God and man both, but he knows he can't get rid of God, so he picks on us. Man was formed by God going and taking the dust of the earth and shaping it, molding it and giving it a form, and then breathing into it as to give it life.
To my knowledge God didn't do that with ANY other creation, he formed us in such a way that we are different from everything else. Obviously, we mean a lot to God, which is exactly why we are the target of Satan.
He wants us to suffer because our pain hurts God too, because he loves us.

Satan hates God, because he wants to be God. He wants to be God, because he is full of Pride. He's full of Pride, because God gave him a free will. God gave him a free will because God loves him. Pride is the deadliest sin of all, because it is really the root of every other sin.

If you think about it, we would have no suffering today if man didn't have pride. But Satan tries his hardest to keep us prideful, away from God (i.e."I don't need any God, because I can do whatever I want" "There is no God, he was made for weak people, and I'm not weak").

Satan wants all men to be separated from God for eternity. That's what Hell is, it's separation from God... Forever.
He wants this because, he knows he's not going to win in the long run, he just wants to take as many down with him as he can. It's really quite sad and childish.

Just some of Satan's work is listed in the book of Job, and the account of his fall is found in Isaiah 14:12-14.
There are many more, such as when he tempted Christ in the desert. I've gone on quite enough though, and list what is listed.

Hope this helps,
Jared Philip

In my opinion, the motivation of Satan is to weed out souls that are impure and do not belong in God's "presence" (which defines "hell", to me...its not a place but a state of being). The Devil does this by tempting souls to choose something bad or selfish over an option that is selfless and good; consequently, allowing the tempted soul to sin and further distance itself from God's grace and presence. But that's just my opinion...

God will mete out the punishment which will be to be forever destroyed and forgotten. Lucifer was among God's favorites because he was so beautiful but he became vain and prideful and wanted to BE God, so he led a rebellion of the angels. We must go through this mortal life so we can make a "free-willed" choice whether to follow God or the rebel. The purpose of Satan is to distract us and tempt us to give in to our physical yearnings, cravings and lusts. His purpose is to distract us from healthful, kind, peaceful living so we do not focus on the prize...which is everlasting life in God's presence, free from pain, illness, death and indeed these physical forms. Those who make the wrong choice will not suffer in Hell as most people think of it. They will simply cease to exist. All the other hullabaloo was made up by men to create fear in men. Those who mislead God's children will also persish, even if they profess on this Earth to be men of the God.

The punishment is happens today, God is the created of all, and as human, God has a negative side, also...that would be Satan, and God has power over Satan, Satan powers cannot overpower the powers of God. So the punishment are in full effect, in the weathers, such as drought, earthquakes, fires, storms, snow,,, all sent on the wicked to see the wrath of God is on the wicked. The believers are aware of this, and they dont worry, it is expected. Those who dont believe in God, will come to know he is. and they will regret their disbelief. They will regret it tremendously. Hell is a horrible place, who would choose such a place, when it so clear. God is real..nothing happens without his permission.NOTHING!!!

The Devil is the center of evil...

The Devil was Gods most beautiful Angel when he was good.....He does do the opposite of what God wants because he is the center of evil and god is the center of good....God gives us free will but wants us to believe in him Satan just wants to go against God.....I do not fully understand your question but like I said

God = the center of good
Satan = the center of evil

God = light
Satan = dark

The devil has no skill over God, he roams the earth as a roaring lion searching for whom he might consume. devil replaced into forged out of heaven, he was an angel. This replaced into his sentence first of all, and now he needs to take as many souls down with him as a threat. that's why Jesus got here so as to restoration the wear the devil had led to interior the start and supply us a 2d threat. And in doing so, he took the keys to loss of existence, hell, and the grave. He supplies us the possibility to flow to heaven or hell. He shall we us opt for, the devils facilitates us opt for hell.

I believe we all have a bit of each within us, so the Devil potential in us is part of ourself. Every individual can allow the devil inside him to take control of his actions or else the angelic side of him, or a bit of both.

The motivation of letting the devil side take over you is basically satisfaction from the power you might get from being the cause of others experiencing unhappiness and failure. There are some who get perverse sexual satisfaction from achieving that such as by doing things that bring unhappiness and misery to others and enjoy watching the result. With most of us the devil potential in us only comes out occasionally, and with a few of us it never comes out at all.

The devil knows that he is going to hell and he is trying to take as many people with him as he can.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

If he did exist, the Devil would not have any motivation to do anything because the entire process would be pointless and not even a demon would waste his time with a God that could do anything.
