The people of Holy Prophet "Lot" had similalar thoughts like your's on Angels and they demanded the Pophet Lot that he hand over them, while they came to know that few handsome men had visited him.
Those people were practicing Homosexuality and Prophet Lot used to admonish them on it, but they did not listen to him. So God Almighty decided to punish those people and the Angels were sent and they were after them.
