Some do. My mom gave my step-dad flowers once and he cried because he said no one had ever made such a thoughtful gesture toward him before. I would give my hubby flowers!

It's just not considered customary for a woman to give flowers to a man, since flowers represent the appearance of beauty...and we normally don't associate a beautiful appearance with that of a male. If it is made known that a man likes flowers, then I would accomodate!! My husband is not a flower person..he likes greenery and foliage, but not really flowers especially as a gift.

My boyfriend likes getting flowers - so do I, but I give flowers to him much more often than he gives them to me, lol.
I would say many men do not like receiving flowers because 1) they think they would be viewed as less macho, 2) flowers don't mean as much to them, or 3) they see flowers as a useless gift that dies pretty quickly.

Its probably a practice based on old stereotypes, that flowers are feminine and therefore appropriate gifts for women, not men.
I have never bought a boyfriend flowers, but I have bought them house plants and they usually keep them longer than I can!

Because most men typically do not want flowers, however if she knows you, and knows your liking on flowers, perhaps she would get you flowers, but you better return the favor!

I guess flowers are delicate, and their beauty is so temporary, short-lived that's why they are associated with feminine, and they are fertilized by bees, so men should be given bees instead of flowers: does it make sense ? lol, I'm a genius!
P.S. in a serious note: do you know that men in Afghanistan give each other flowers ? I don't know if this practice is restricted only to Taliban members, lol, omg, I'm unbearably funny today.

Well flowers are a jesture of a man's affection now if a girl gave a guy flowers then it would be because of twistedness. Are you sure that you aren't gay wanting flowers???

to tell u the truth i dont even think that it runs thru womens head to get thier man some flowers, mainly because men dont usually say anything about getting them. tell ur partner that u want flowers and start ur garden man!!!!
